Prime Minister Godwin

Doofus.

His real problem with the CCF is that their entire caucus voted against their leader at the time, something the Harper regime would never allow. Woodsworth was an evangelical minister, who though I disagree with him, was voting his conscience. He didn't think we should go to war to solve a problem created by the Conservative appeaser Chamberlain.

Tom-ay-to Tom-ah-to.

You can call it electoral fraud.

I call it treason.

Dear LPC, no you can't have my blog

You can let Liberal Supporters vote for leader. You could vote this Liberal Supporter to be leader.
But even then you can't have my blog. I hear the US Tea Party also failed to get The Tea Party band's site too.

Of course if there's money involved, well that's different...

RIP Jack Layton

Condolences to Jack's family and friends.

Conservatives, you may continue thanking the millions of Liberal supporters who lent their votes to Harper at the last minute in May to prevent Layton becoming Prime Minister.

Because now the PM would be a former Quebec separatist, instead of a former Alberta separatist.

Though sad, Layton's death wasn't entirely unexpected, so in retrospect I am glad the Liberal voters again saved Canada this year.

Despite the raft of laws that will have to be repealed when Harper is sent packing, he will likely continue trying to appease his Liberal vote lenders for the foreseeable future.

Another one bits the dust

Yet another far right blogger has been forced to restrict free speech, putting the lie to their claims of being in favour of free speech. Unlike an earlier fascist who decided to use moderation to stifle my words, the latest loser is going with a new commenting system, one which will allow him to get my IP number so his friends can send some goons to shut me up.

Keep up the fight everyone. With Murdoch being discredited, the discussion of far right extremists returning to fore, plus the work of many who no longer sit silent while hate mongers spew their venom, we're turning the tide.

Disaster in Haiti

Blogger makes you log in every so often, so I had to log in today. Now I see comments in my messages blog demanding that I visit someone's blog where I was commenting about issues of the day before I heard about the earthquake in Haiti. If the operator of that blog sees this, know I am suspending most of my partisan commenting for awhile. Even though others are already using the earthquake and our response to it for their own partisan purposes, I can't be bothered. There will be plenty of time for bickering later.

For now, we're all pulling together. Kudos to the government for getting relief in quickly. Add the people of Haiti to your prayers if you can. Donate if you can (carefully though, there are scams about already).

Have your say!

Feel free to put a copy here of any comment you place at any BT blog that moderates because they dislike dissent. Just indicate where you put it, and when. Once another comment appears at such a site, you know the operator was forced to read your words. I think it's hilarious when they have to read you, and then they have to fume without responding, otherwise appear hypocritical. But their posts are usually full of hypocrisy anyway.
